Coated Fabrics
Fiber glass fabrics are coated with a variety of thermoplastic
resins, rubbers or elastomers for use in flexible air ducts, air
supported structures, conveyer belts, welding curtains ceiling
board facing ,gaskets,pipe jacketing,pressure sensitive tape,window
shades, movie screens and the like . We undertake coatings of PTFE,
Silicon, Polyurethane, PVC, EVA, Acrylic, Graphite, Viton.
PTFE
coated fabric are
generally available with both side coating on closed and open
surfaces in different thickness and weight. For applications that
place high priority on impermeability of P.T.F.E coatings, the
surface can be laminated with a fluoroplastic film which is under
development.
Silicon,PU,PVC,EVA
are available in both side and single side coating.PU is usable
in the temperature range of -40 degree celcius to +120 degree
celcius. While Silicon coated fabrics can be used without limitations
in the temperature range of - 60 degree celcius to +220 degree
celcius with the help of special additives, its thermal resistance
of Silicon coated fabric can be increased upto 250 degree celcius.
Viton
coated fabric ,finds its application mostly in nonmetallic-expansion
joints and are available in both sided coated forms.
PVC
is the low cost material which is also suitable for high frequency
welding and is widely used to coat Polyester fabrics.
Acrylic,
EVA are mostly used for importing anti-fraying characteristics
to fiber glass fabrics.
Graphite
used by KETEX has a highly specialised characteristics and is
used in conjunction with Acrylic, P.T.F.E and sometimes in pure
form to imparting semi-conducting properties.
